Carolyn P. Henly is a liberal traveller to a conservative land. Born and raised in and around Berkeley, California, she now teaches high school English and Theory of Knowledge in Richmond, Virginia where even constant exposure since 1995 has been insufficient to make her remember to call the Civil War the War of Northern Aggression. Though her international experience is more limited than she would like it to be, she has travelled to ten foreign countries, including Australia and Japan. Her most exotic venue was Reykjavik (although, if the truth be told, that was an almost-literally flying stop at the airport en route to Germany . . . .) She would love to tell you more, but she has to go run her annual butterfly count.
