Karen Hatcher teaches Spanish at Midlothian High School in Virginia and began her adventure in TOK in 2000. She has lived in Germany and Mexico and has traveled in Europe and the United States. In addition to writing poetry, her interests include hiking, camping, foreign films, traditional Appalachian clogging, and reading. She currently is researching the colonial community and 18th-century house in which she resides. For her, THE SEARCH is captured simply but powerfully in the words "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32).
