Bill Frere was born in the US and holds a degree in Theology, which he has been teaching since 1979. In 1989 he began teaching Theology and Comparative Religions at Trinity High School in River Forest, Illinois, where he has also been teaching Theory of Knowledge since Trinity became an IB school in 1994. He has contributed articles to IB World and Forum, led a TOK summer workshop at the Armand Hammer United World College, and been a TOK assistant examiner. He has been married since 1974 and has one married daughter who is an oncology nurse. He is an avid science fiction reader, crossword puzzler, and computer gamer.
